It’s been well over a year since my last journal entry, not good. I’m hoping to keep more up to date with it here on dA. I’m a general addict to the site; I love discovering new art and looking for inspiration from those around the world!

To the point. The gap year is over, though it continues along a new road! Previously taking it easy and working when I can (the recession has been an absolute b*tch for the job hunt), this summer opens up a new door and throughout August I’m gonna be rehearsing and then performing in a musical; I’m excited because I can finally get my teeth into something tough, having done almost no musical theatre in the past, and acting in itself is a great passion of mine. So I won’t be putting up anything new within August. Once the summer is over the job hunt begins again, though this time with a little more potential, and if unsuccessful there then I’ll most likely volunteer somewhere; need to get something more on the CV. Lol.

You may have noticed the few Mac OS icons I’ve been uploading! I’ve been having a lot of fun making those, trying to come up with new ideas etc. and being a Mac user myself, it means that whatever I make I can share. I have also recently acquired a Wacom Bamboo tablet which I highly recommend! I’m still getting used to using it, but it’s bloody brilliant! Hopefully there will be some funky illustrations making their appearance before the end of the year too!

I think that’s enough from me... I may not have written in a year, but I don’t want to bore you... just keeping you updated, s’all!

Now the exams are finally over my gap year has begun!

So my friends... free time means free hands and free hands allows time to draw! The sketchbook is out, the pencils are being sharpened but to build up my confidence I'm gonna stick with replicating other pieces of art or at least try and modify them, not purely copying. When I will start and finish exactly is unknown, but hopefully soon.

Keep watching as I intend for it to be sooner rather than later. Thanks for watching up until now though also! Some of the multimedia art that I've created on the Mac has been well received which I greatly appreciate.

Well, so far the only picture on my dA account that is truly my own is: Ultimate Spider-Man #67.

I've drawn numerous pictures over the years but nothing quite on that level. That drawing was done about two years ago on A4 for my brother's birthday!

The question now is, what next? I believe I know what I am capable of after that (which took me approximately five hours), though drawing something entirely original will have to wait, another copy would probably be a better idea as it's been about a three year break away from pencil being put to paper!

My gap year begins at the end of May '08 in which I'll have lots of time on my hands... so watch this spot.
